I Wish, I didn't need to Wish!!

So last Friday was 11.11.11!!! And it got me thinking... What do I wish for?? All jokes aside I really took some time to figure out what was really important in life!
-I wish that sometimes life would just stop moving, so I could enjoy life in the present!
-I wish all the happiness, success, blessings, and love to my ever so AMAZING family! I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for them and their love and encouragement!
-I wish that all my days at work were this smooth and easy!
-I wish that I could turn off typical girl mode AND not be so hard on myself all the time!
-I wish everyone had the opportunities that I've been blessed to have in my life!
-I sometimes wish that I wasn't so nice! Because I get used and ran over a lot because I can't be mean!
-I wish I could STOP thinking about him!
-I wish that he would figure his shiz out and realize that I've been here the whole time, I'm one of the few that KNOWS him and truly likes him for who HE is!
-I wish that regardless of "our" outcome, that he is happy!
-I wish I had more faith in God's timing for me!
-I wish for my friends is that "this life becomes ALL that you want it to" and that amazing opportunities will always be rewarded to them :)
-I wish that I could express myself more in words! I've always been someone who goes by the saying "you can tell how much someone cares for you, by what they DO for you!"
-Sometimes I wish actions DID speak louder than words!
-I wish I was confident enough in myself to just say how I really feel ALL THE TIME!
-I wish I wasn't afraid!
-I REALLY wish that there was an "EASY" button to life :)
-I wish I knew what was going to happen next in my life!
-I WISH UPON MYSELF BECAUSE WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR, YOU'RE ALREADY MILLIONS OF LIGHTYEARS TOO LATE BECAUSE THAT STAR HAS ALREADY DIED OFF, JUST LIKE YOUR WISH!
-I wish I looked like this! EVERYDAY!!!!! haha:)

...go on and brush your shoulders off!!

WHAT UP people?!! I have exciting news!!!! Drum roll please....... (insert drum roll here).... I (Shay Harvey) am no longer the Relief Society President for the Washington YSA Ward!!!!! I know what you were thinking, "that's not exactly what I was expecting." ME NEITHER!!! I thought I'd be in this calling forever!! But alas it's been a year and it's time for another gal to step up to the plate! AND can I just say, "WHEW!!" That calling is such a humbling overload. I will say this though, I truly loved every single moment of serving in that calling! I got to know and love every single one of those girls in my ward, and I may be biased but I think they are all so amazing, unique, different, AND beautiful inside and out! My wish is that the new Pres. grows to love them as much I do! I know that she'll do an amazing job and know that she is the one the Lord wants in at this time! TAKE LUCK my dear:)
Well "er"body my cousin Trenton is officially engaged and I am so STOKED for him!! Little background information about him. He is my mom's, sister's, son. In fact he's the cousin I've probably the closest with! We grew up together and he's pretty much like my big brother even though we're only 7 months apart! I remember we did everything together when we were young. Like play Power Rangers, he was the red power ranger and I was the pink power ranger! Needless to say we pretty much rampaged through the streets of Hurricane protecting the innocents from foreign villains looking to take over the world with our amazing Jackie Chan like skills! Anyways the point I was originally getting at is that I LOVE his fiance! I definitely approve! She is from Mississippi (where Trent served his mission) and she has a gnarly accent! She is the cutest southern belle I did ever see! I wish nothing but the best for those two!!
LIFE is amazing and I don't really have any complaints! I have an amazing family, fantastic friends, and nothing but great people all around me! At the end of the day whether it was good or bad, I am happy and am truly blessed!!
P.S. Today I was told by my Uncle that I have 7 months to get dating and married off.... no pressure right?!... and that's about all I have to say about that!

Life, love, happiness, joy, enduring, enjoying, NO REGRETS!!

My deepest apologies to those(Tia) who like to read my blog and my lack of maintenance/updates!! It has been a long stinkin time since I've posted a blog!! And thanks to Tia I have found that I have followers who actually do read this!! Which surprises me because I feel that my life isn't that interesting to others, but to me it's the best life anyone could live!!

Well quick update on my life!! I am single (still) not a big deal because I don't mind!! But at the same time I hate being "just the bud" that guys hang out with!! It's not that I want to date the guy it's just, it kinda hurts to think that all they see me as is "just one of the guys"!! And that's not cool, not cool at all!! How am I supposed to date anyone if I'm just seen as a "bud" to them all the time??? Good question, I dunno!! I guess I'll just keep you posted!! So in essence Shay does not have a love life!! NCMO's are a whole different story!!

Let's see, I am still working at the Lobster!! I love my job! I love meeting new people! I have some REALLY awesome tables sometimes!! I'm starting to get to the point where I have regulars!! I don't wanna toot my own horn, but... TOOT, TOOT!!!! Also I have acquired a new skill at the Lobster!! Drum roll please... dun, dun, na, na, na.... I am now also a BARTENDER!!! That's right Shay, the Relief Society President is bar tending too!! hahaha it's actually really fun and I get more money in the morning than just serving alone!! I tell everyone it's just quality control cause they know I won't try and drink any of it hahaha:)

I received my associate of science degree at DSC!! So now I don't know what to do with my life and am taking a semester off school!!! It's weird cause I wanna finish school, and I wanna figure things out! But right now at this time in my life I feel that I don't need to rush into anything!! I am at a very interesting stage in my life!! I can pick up and do WHATEVER with my life!! I can move and go to another school, I actually have time to date guys, and I'm not in any sort of pressure to do anything right now!! As strange as this may sound, instead of panicking I feel a sense of calmness as if some thing's coming and things are going to work out!! What's coming? I have no idea! What's gonna work out?? Your guess is as good as mine!! Don't worry I'll be sure to keep you posted on my happenings (to the best of my ability)!!!

As you can tell I am still the R.S President!! And I'm starting to hit the point where I've gotten things going, it's keeping the drive and the flow of things that I need to do now!! Like I totally forgot to put my V.T. reports in last week type of problem that I am starting to run in to!! I know I can do this!! I just need to keep my head up and GET ORGANIZED!!! Organize the stuff that I need to take care of!! I GOT THIS:) Also another plug for the church... I freakin L.O.V.E my ward!! It is by far, HANDS DOWN, one if not, thee greatest (singles) ward I've been in so far!! We are so bomb!! Our ward is so close, that we hang out with each other on a regular basis! Like I see everyone easily 2-3 times a week!! It's so much fun!! I love it! I am going to be so sad when the day comes where I am no longer in that ward!!

Well I don't know what else I can tell ya that you probably don't already know!! Hope life is treating everyone well!! Lub you all!! STAY CLASSY!!

Have you met my new best friend?? He's pretty cool! He plays baseball, actually he's the pitcher!! I'm a sucker for a guy in a baseball uniform ;)

...mmm yeah life is good:)

Sup my bloggin viewers?! I am super happy to announce that this is my 2nd blog in 2 weeks and I don't know about you but I find that somewhat of an accomplishment! Usually I suck serious arsenal at this whole blogging thing!!

Well to the serious stuff!! Everyone.... drum roll please......................... IT'S SUMMER TIME!!! Who's excited?? OOOOH That would be ME (Shay Harvey)!! To update you on recent events!! I graduated college!! H-E-DOUBLE yeah!!! I technically graduated in December of 2010 but since it's DSC's 100th year I figured that graduation would be a big TO-DO and found myself wanting to participate in it!! And it was awesome Thomas S. Monson was the keynote speaker for commencement this year and he was AMAZING as his usual!! Also fun fact for you... I am now officially Dixie State College Alumni!! Yeah that's right, one day there's gonna be a building named after me!

I've been hitting the pool already and have developed a lovely golden brown hue on my skin and it makes me smile!! There is nothing I love more than darker skin and lighter hair!! Yes I love looking like a surfer beach bum!!! (Nice bum, where you from?!) hahahaha oh I'm funny=]

The Washington YSA (Young Single Adults) Ward had our first camp out of the summer and let me be the first to say that is was F-U-N!!! Gotta give credit where credit is due! Derick Legg the activities dude in our ward did a fan-freakin-tastic job at putting it all together!! The bishopric for the delicious food and the fellow wardies for making it a good time! I have pictures of this epically fun event and since I am nice I will share them with you below!!

I recently went to St. Geezy's new Anti-Gravity Arena!! WALL TO WALL TRAMPOLINES AND BOUNCY DO-DAD'S = balls to the wall craziness and enjoyment!! I highly recommend that place!! It would be such a fun first date place! Hit up the anti-gravity arena then go get ice cream or something afterwards!! MMMmmm yeah sounds perfect to me!! We got a big group and went and it was a blast!! I am definitely hitting that place up again asap!! It only costs $8 for an hour and honestly after about 20 minutes you get crazy tired and hot from jumping around so much, but it's so much fun that you just keep going! I felt like a little kid=]

Well everyone I hope life is treating you well and that you are finding time in your busy lives to have fun! Don't forget to laugh, don't sweat the small stuff, and remember regardless of how awful your day/week/month has been LIFE IS GOOD! There is ALWAYS someone more worse off than you!! Luff you all:)

1950s Hostess with the MOSTEST.....

So the other day I volunteered my services to my roommate!! Now before your minds go into the gutter, let me clarify... My roommate Tiera Oliver is a very talented photographer and she is taking a photography class. Well she needed a model... and any of you that know me at all, know that you don't have to twist my arm to get behind the lens of a camera!! I love photos and I love being in photos!! Photos mean memories and perfect moments caught in a perfect time, that can be reminisced over again and again!!

Well so Tiera's theme for this photo shoot was "being in your element" so we took it a step further and made it primped up 50's style theme with a little cute housewife who just made cookies and in these photos CUPCAKES:) for her cute little family! We had to make it perfect!! We had the curly hair, the 50's style dress, the cupcakes and most importantly the RED LIPSTICK!! Add all these together plus a willing model and ACE photographer and you get SUCCESS!!!! Go to this link http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1371403201#!/pages/Belle-Reve-Photography/108910999172594 to check out more of these photos along with much more of Tiera's beautiful photography!!

Here are a few sneak peaks!! Photos by Belle Reve Photography (aka Tiera Oliver)

...sunkissed skin so hot it melts your popsicle...

I know I have been somewhat behind on my blogging... How do I know this?? I have been reminded on multiple occasions by my friends that I need to "update" my blog!! So here ya go!! Today ladies and gentlemen was a good day... nay it was a magnificent day!! Why you ask?! Because is was 75 degrees outside, the sun was shining, I whipped out my first official sand volleyball game of the season, the rays stretched down and warmed every cell in my skin... both in color and temperature!! I love this weather! Everything about it!! I can wear shorts, I can tan, I can sit outside without freezing AND without dying of heat exhaustion!!! Today ladies and gentlemen was a perfect day because it gave me a glimpse of what is to come. I can begin to get excited about summer and all the fun activities that go along with it!!! Today is one of those days where I freakin LOVE being a resident of Southern Utah!! Today means that now and soon to come I can: eat watermelon, wear shorts, go swimming, go tanning, spend countless hours at the lake, spend countless hours at the lake ON A BOAT:) It means 4th of July parades and 24th of July parades are coming, lots of booths, and lots of food... I can play sand volleyball and let the warm sand sink between my toes, I can drive around with my windows down while blaring my music, I DON'T have to worry about school, I have a plethera of carefree down time, I can eat an OTTER POP!! I can barbecue until I sweat BBQ sauce (okay not the best mental picture) I can sleep in, I can stay out late, I can play in the sun until almost 9pm at night!! AND last but certainly not least I get to go, WAKEBOARDING:):):) Do I lover summer, you bet your sweet butt-cheeks I do!!! I love EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!! I have been waiting for this season to come since Christmas!! Just a fun little happy thought for all of you to think about of what's to come... and so you can be jealous about it, as you sit reading this with face expressing your lack of excitement, while living in your chilly aired areas up north!! Just remember, no one is making you stay up there!!! (that's St. Geezy's motto, "why live anywhere else??" :):):)
